Blender software 3D view navigation

An Introduction to navigation with keyboard number pad and to navigate when there is no keyboard

To save more time while working in the 3D view of blender software, this article will guide you through the process of navigation with keyboard number pad and how to navigate easily when there is no keyboard.

Though there are settings under the ‘view’ tab in the ‘window footer’, but am going to introduce you to the easier way of navigation under the ‘Tool shelf’ when there is no keyboard.

Going to ‘View’ tab under the ‘Window footer’ each time you want to navigate will probably waste more of your time. This is the reason why I want to introduce you to the navigation that will be fixed on the screen while you are working in 3D view.

At the ‘Tool Shelf’ (press ‘T’ on your keyboard or go to ‘View’ tab to hide or to display), look for the Addon tab called ‘Display’. There are lots of options there.

The correlations of this navigation options under this ‘Display’ tab is illustrated below.

If you want to display only the ‘Active object’ in your Scene and hide the rest of the objects, just press ‘/’ button on your number pad.

  1. After I initially left a comment I appear to have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now every time a comment is added I get four emails with the exact same comment.

There has to be a way you are able to remove me from that service?
    Thanks a lot!
